About Us
Hi my name is Tonya McCarty CEO of Ainnie's Sweets.
I became established in November of 2020. I learned to bake at the tender age of 9 years old. My aunt was my teacher who always called on me to help her with prepping the cakes and pies. Being as I loved all sorts of sweets, I never mind helping her. Ethel Gibson (AKA) Ainnie to all family and friends was how I established the business name Annie's Sweets.
During the pandemic, I lost my job. Being concerned I had a long talk with God. I asked him what am I to do now. I remember waiting for a sign on what to do. God gave me a dream with me and my late grandmother and late aunt. In the dream, my grandmother was eating a piece of my aunt's pound cake. I'd awaken from my dream and thought "yes this is it start selling cakes". I then got up, went to the store to buy supplies and been baking ever since.
